Christmas Craft Afternoon
On Saturday 20th December, we will be hosting a delightful array of activities for all ages in our Church Room from 2pm to 4:30pm, followed by the enchanting “Carols on the Green” at 6pm.

Here’s what we have in store for you:
• Christmas craft workshops for all ages to unleash their creativity.
• A storytelling workshop to transport you to magical worlds.
• Dress the church outdoor Xmas tree together and make it a festive sight.
• Check out the Potten End School and young people’s Art exhibition.
• Dens’ donations at our wrapping station.

And of course, we’ll have plenty of teas, coffees, squash, and delicious cookies to keep you warm and nourished. We’re also asking for your generous donations for Dens this Christmas. Please see the list on page 26 and drop off your donations at Church or The Plough pub anytime from 1st December to 20th December.

We’re also inviting local families to join us in wrapping presents for those less fortunate. While you’re out shopping for everyone this Christmas, let’s spare a thought for those who have very little, maybe even someone without a family or even a home. Adding an extra gift to your shopping basket can make a world of difference. Giving is the true essence of Christmas, and it’s the power of a thoughtful gift that shows compassion, humanity, and care for those less fortunate.

We’re also excited to ask the children at school or around the Village to share their interpretation of “The Spirit of Christmas” as artwork. We don’t want to limit creativity, so we encourage pure imagination. We’ll display these beautiful pieces of artwork in the Church Room and Church throughout the Christmas period. We’d love for all families to come along and see our budding little artists.

Remembrance Day Service at 10.50am
Remembrance Day
Around 130 people including our uniformed groups and school children attended our Remembrance Day Service, which was held by the War Memorial outside church.
This was a great community event and the weather was very kind to us. Thank you to all those who attended.

Sunday 26th October 2025
HTB
Our Ministry Team spent the morning at Holy Trinity Brompton, attending the 11.30am Service together.
It was a wonderful opportunity to step away from our usual Sunday setting and experience worship, hospitality and community in a different environment.
The visit gave us space to reflect, share ideas and think about what we might learn or adapt to enrich our own worship and ministry back home.
It was a really vaulable and inspiring day together as a team, followed by a refreshing drink afterwards

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning or Sunday evening.

Where and When

We meet at Holy Trinity Church (details here) and our Sunday morning Service starts at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you find somewhere to sit before the Service begins. When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our Stewards, who will make you most welcome.

After the morning Service, we serve tea, coffee, biscuits (and occasionally even cake) in the Church Room, next door. This is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free, but a donation is appreciated.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Stewards know on your arrival and they will help you.

Our Service

Our Sunday morning Service is based on the Church of England Common Worship Holy Communion, with our third Sunday in the month Service being more family orientated. Our worship is dynamic and lively with a mix of traditional hymns and more contemporary songs as we seek to lift up His name together.
Each Service lasts about an hour.
Our Sunday evening Service starts at 6.30pm and we follow the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) format with more traditional music. Occasionally, (usually every two months) we hold a Celtic Worship Service which follows the Iona Community style of worship which is more meditative, and reflective with 'folky' style music led by our Celtic Music Group.
