Children's Ministry

children

Have you got children that you would like to bring to church?
We are currently looking at ways in which to engage with our younger members, working closely with our CofE Primary School.

One such event was held on Wednesday 15th October, when we had the pleasure of welcoming the Reception Class, along with their parents to our church for a Messy Church afternoon.
The session was based around the Bible story of 'The Feeding of the 5,000', which we explored together through storytelling, crafts and creativity.
The children had a wonderful time making their own 'fish and loaves' using bread dough and craft materials, helping to bring the story to life in a fun and hands-on way.
It was a real joy to see over 30 children - and just as many parents- come into church, get to know Holy Trinity and discover more about the life of our church with which their school is partnered.
Events like this are a wonderful expression of our church's 2028 Vision: 'Growing in Christ, Rooted in Love, Empowered to Servce'

Our aim is to make sure every child can be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment.
We want the kids to have great fun whilst learning more about Jesus and meeting with Him.

Please watch this space for more information in the coming months.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning or Sunday evening.

Where and When

We meet at Holy Trinity Church (details here) and our Sunday morning Service starts at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you find somewhere to sit before the Service begins. When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our Stewards, who will make you most welcome.

After the morning Service, we serve tea, coffee, biscuits (and occasionally even cake) in the Church Room, next door. This is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free, but a donation is appreciated.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Stewards know on your arrival and they will help you.

Our Service

Our Sunday morning Service is based on the Church of England Common Worship Holy Communion, with our third Sunday in the month Service being more family orientated. Our worship is dynamic and lively with a mix of traditional hymns and more contemporary songs as we seek to lift up His name together.
Each Service lasts about an hour.
Our Sunday evening Service starts at 6.30pm and we follow the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) format with more traditional music. Occasionally, (usually every two months) we hold a Celtic Worship Service which follows the Iona Community style of worship which is more meditative, and reflective with 'folky' style music led by our Celtic Music Group.
