We are delighted to share that the final stage of our temporary reordering is now complete, with the carpet having been fitted today.
This marks an important milestone in the life of Holy Trinity. We are especially pleased to say that the cost of the carpet has been met in full by anonymous donors. We are extremely thankful for their generosity and we fully respect their wish to remain anonymous.
With this, the project is now complete for the time being. The focus now shifts to how we use this space. Over the coming months, we will have the opportunity to use it in its fullness and entirety, to see how it serves our worship, mission, and community life, and whether it meets our hopes and expectations for the future.
The next phase will come in 2027, when our Standing Committee and the Parochial Church Council will review this period of use and discern whether to make the changes permanent. If that is the decision, we will then apply for a final faculty from the Diocese of St Albans Consistory Court to make the works permanent. If not, the pews will be returned.
Until then, we give thanks to God for all that has been, and we say a confident and hopeful yes to all that is to come.

Service of Thanksgiving for Amy Carr
More than 300 mourners gathered to honour the life of Amy Carr, 34, an inspirational local woman whose courage and determination touched people around the world.
Amy lived with a brain tumour for more than a decade, yet continued to devote herself to fundraising, completing numerous marathons and triathlons in support of Brain Tumour Research. Her efforts raised over £30,000 for the charity.
A talented sportswoman, Amy was formerly a professional footballer and played as a goalkeeper for Arsenal, Chelsea, and England before building a successful career as a respected Personal Trainer.
The Church and Village Hall were filled to capacity, with more than 60 additional mourners joining the Service via 'live' stream from overseas. Friends, family, and former teammates paid tribute to Amy’s extraordinary resilience, kindness, and determination.
Amy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of strength and generosity will continue to inspire many.

A wonderful start to our Lent Course!
What a joy it was to gather together for our first evening of the Lent Course. It was a real blessing to share in fellowship, conversation and reflection as we begin this journey together.
We give thanks to God for all that He has already done among us and we look ahead with hope and expectation for all that He will continue to do in and through us in the weeks ahead.
As we journey through this Lenten season, may we grow ever deeper in faith and be shaped more and more into a people living out mission-shaped living - serving Christ in our community and beyond.
Please do continue to hold us in your prayers as we walk this path together.

This morning at 10.00am, with the help of our churchwardens, members of the Standing Committee, and skilled local professionals, the choir stalls—along with the front stall and the stall nearest the organ—were safely removed and transported to a dry, secure storage location outside the Parish. Revd Ben is sincerely thankful to all who gave their time, skill, and labour so generously and freely, for the good of the church and for the glory of God. The stalls will now remain in storage until at least 2027, in accordance with the terms of the temporary faculty.
These are, we believe, exciting days for our church—for us, and for the work of God among us. The God of surprises, revealed to us in the risen Christ, is the one who continually offers new vision and new beginnings. As we hold to our 2028 Vision, we do so trusting in Paul’s prayer to the church in Ephesians: that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine.
