Tuesday 20th January 2026
This morning at 10.00am, with the help of our churchwardens, members of the Standing Committee, and skilled local professionals, the choir stalls—along with the front stall and the stall nearest the organ—were safely removed and transported to a dry, secure storage location outside the Parish. Revd Ben is sincerely thankful to all who gave their time, skill, and labour so generously and freely, for the good of the church and for the glory of God. The stalls will now remain in storage until at least 2027, in accordance with the terms of the temporary faculty.
These are, we believe, exciting days for our church—for us, and for the work of God among us. The God of surprises, revealed to us in the risen Christ, is the one who continually offers new vision and new beginnings. As we hold to our 2028 Vision, we do so trusting in Paul’s prayer to the church in Ephesians: that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine.

Lent Course
Lent

As we look ahead to Lent 2026, we are delighted to let you know that our Lent Course this year will be Mission Shaped Living: Being Witnesses for Jesus in Our Everyday Lives, written by John McGinley, Director of Church Planting for the Church of England.

At Holy Trinity our vision is to be a growing church — a church where we believe, belong, and become. Lent is a precious opportunity to pause, reflect, and intentionally grow in our faith together. This course is designed to help us live out our faith naturally and confidently in the everyday places of life — at home, at work, among friends, and in our communities.

Mission Shaped Living is not about learning techniques or running programmes. Instead, it explores how following Jesus shapes the whole of life, equipping us to be his witnesses through who we are, how we love, and how we relate to others.

The course will start on Ash Wednesday, 18th February at 7.15pm in the church. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome. For further details see here.

Wednesday 24th December 2025 - Crib Service
Nativity
As usual at our Crib Service on Christmas Eve the church was packed to the rafters with families all excited and looking forward to Christmas Day.
This year the Service included a Nativity Panto specially adapted by Jane Healey from a play by Angela Yardy with music arranged by Andy Smith.
We even had a visit at the end from Santa himself, which the children absolutely adored.

Saturday 20th December 2025 - Carols on the Green
Carols on the Green
Amersham Band
On Saturday 20th December at 6pm we held our traditional Carols on the Green which as usual was well attended by our local community of all ages. Revd Ben, Sara Raybould and the fabulous Amersham Band led our carols and Christmas songs and the mulled wine and hot chocolate was well received. by all.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a big thanks to all those who made the event a great success.

Sunday 9th November 2025 - Remembrance Day Service
Remembrance Day
Around 130 people including our uniformed groups and school children attended our Remembrance Day Service, which was held by the War Memorial outside church.
This was a great community event and the weather was very kind to us. Thank you to all those who attended.

Sunday 26th October 2025
HTB
Our Ministry Team spent the morning at Holy Trinity Brompton, attending the 11.30am Service together.
It was a wonderful opportunity to step away from our usual Sunday setting and experience worship, hospitality and community in a different environment.
The visit gave us space to reflect, share ideas and think about what we might learn or adapt to enrich our own worship and ministry back home.
It was a really vaulable and inspiring day together as a team, followed by a refreshing drink afterwards

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning or Sunday evening.

Where and When

We meet at Holy Trinity Church (details here) and our Sunday morning Service starts at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you find somewhere to sit before the Service begins. When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our Stewards, who will make you most welcome.

After the morning Service, we serve tea, coffee, biscuits (and occasionally even cake) in the Church Room, next door. This is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free, but a donation is appreciated.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Stewards know on your arrival and they will help you.

Our Service

Our Sunday morning Service is based on the Church of England Common Worship Holy Communion, with our third Sunday in the month Service being more family orientated. Our worship is dynamic and lively with a mix of traditional hymns and more contemporary songs as we seek to lift up His name together.
Each Service lasts about an hour.
Our Sunday evening Service starts at 6.30pm and we follow the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) format with more traditional music. Occasionally, (usually every two months) we hold a Celtic Worship Service which follows the Iona Community style of worship which is more meditative, and reflective with 'folky' style music led by our Celtic Music Group.
