What's On

Calendar

There is lots going on at Holy Trinity whether it's on a Sunday in church or midweek in the Church Room.

Thursday 2nd October at 10.30am will see that start of a New midweek  morning Eucharist Service. This is a short and simple Service, offering a time of stillness and prayer, in the midst of the week.

On Sunday 5th October, we will be celebrating our Harvest Festival at 10.30am. We would welcome food donations of any kind. The non-perishable goods will be taken to DENS Foodbank and the fresh produce to Annette House.  All are wleomce at this traditional Harvest Festival Service. As always, there will be teac/coffee and cakes after the Service in the Church Room.

On Sunday 2nd November our annual Service of Hope will take place at 3.30pm. This Service remembers those who we love, but can no longer see, but offers hope for everyone. It is a very reflective Service.
There will be tea/coffee and cakes after the Service in the Church Room.

On Friday 14th November, we are holding a 'Would I Lie to You About Wine? evening in the Village Hall at 7.30pm
A fun evening tasting wine. You get three descriptions of the wine you are about to drink and you have to decide which desciption is the truth.
Four different bottles of wine and a welcome glass of Prosecco on arrival plus cheese and crackers.
Tables of 6, tickets £15 per person available from Sara on 07973146413 or Mike 07891760244

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning or Sunday evening.

Where and When

We meet at Holy Trinity Church (details here) and our Sunday morning Service starts at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you find somewhere to sit before the Service begins. When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our Stewards, who will make you most welcome.

After the morning Service, we serve tea, coffee, biscuits (and occasionally even cake) in the Church Room, next door. This is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free, but a donation is appreciated.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Stewards know on your arrival and they will help you.

Our Service

Our Sunday morning Service is based on the Church of England Common Worship Holy Communion, with our third Sunday in the month Service being more family orientated. Our worship is dynamic and lively with a mix of traditional hymns and more contemporary songs as we seek to lift up His name together.
Each Service lasts about an hour.
Our Sunday evening Service starts at 6.30pm and we follow the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) format with more traditional music. Occasionally, (usually every two months) we hold a Celtic Worship Service which follows the Iona Community style of worship which is more meditative, and reflective with 'folky' style music led by our Celtic Music Group.
