Christmas @ Holy Trinity

As normal at Holy Trinity, we have lots of events during the festive period with something for everybody. All are welcome to join us as we wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Sunday 14th December 6.30pm
Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
A traditional Service with all your favourite carols and readings plus choral items performed by our choir. After the Service, mince pies and mulled wine will be served in the Church Room.

Saturday 20th December @ 2pm - 4.30pm
Christmas Craft Afternoon in the Church Room
Crafts and fun for all the family in the Church Room, plus collection of gifts for those less fortunate than ourselves.

Saturday 20th December @ 6pm
Carols on the Green
This is a community event organised together with the Parish Council, which takes place on The Green by the Christmas tree with the singing led by the Amersham Brass Band.
Mulled wine and hot chocolate are available from the church porch to help warm your vocal chords. It's a great way to start your Christmas celebrations!

Come and make your own Christingles at this Third Sunday Praise orientated family Service.

Sunday 21st December @ 6.30pm
Christmas Celtic Communion
A relaxed and meditative Communion Service following the Iona Community tradition of worship with traditional and more modern Christmas songs led by our Celtic Worship Group.

Wednesday 24th December @ 4pm
Crib Service
This is a traditional family Service featuring the Nativity Story and traditional festive songs.
Come early to get your seat!

Wednesday 24th December @ 11.30pm
Midnight Mass
Come and witness the arrival of Christmas Day at this Festive Holy Communion Service.

Thursday 25th December @ 10am
Christmas Day Family Communion

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning or Sunday evening.

Where and When

We meet at Holy Trinity Church (details here) and our Sunday morning Service starts at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you find somewhere to sit before the Service begins. When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our Stewards, who will make you most welcome.

After the morning Service, we serve tea, coffee, biscuits (and occasionally even cake) in the Church Room, next door. This is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free, but a donation is appreciated.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Stewards know on your arrival and they will help you.

Our Service

Our Sunday morning Service is based on the Church of England Common Worship Holy Communion, with our third Sunday in the month Service being more family orientated. Our worship is dynamic and lively with a mix of traditional hymns and more contemporary songs as we seek to lift up His name together.
Each Service lasts about an hour.
Our Sunday evening Service starts at 6.30pm and we follow the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) format with more traditional music. Occasionally, (usually every two months) we hold a Celtic Worship Service which follows the Iona Community style of worship which is more meditative, and reflective with 'folky' style music led by our Celtic Music Group.
